How to take inspiration to create art?
I have a question for you. Do you remember last time where you witness an experience and left you overwhelmed? That may be character, an object, a place or even an animal or you can say a tiny insect. Ask yourself where you get most attracted? What colors and shapes you are drawn to? Include in your mood board. You must be wondering what is a mood board Madiha? According to Google, an arrangement of images, materials, pieces of text, etc. intended to evoke or project a particular style or concept. that’s your mood board in true sense.
Do you remember those scrapbooks we used to make when we were teens, we used to cut newspaper or magazines bits and used to paste in the book. In today’s era, we do that on Pinterest basically. Any photograph we see, if we like it with any element of it, we just go pin it or save our phones. By the way, this reminded me I have to declutter my phone gallery 🤪! Yes I am that crazy! I am a silent observer of natural patterns, where ever I go, I am in search of inspiration. It can be a natural pattern textured wall or a curvy dish at a restaurant. So you tell me now, do you get inspiration from your surroundings? What intrigues you to keep a memory as a snap on your phone? Tell me what’s that spark which ignites in you? You got me now! You can combine those clicks into your own art and that’s the power of being an artist without going to an art school!
